For example, my major is business management. If I had a year of an internship how would that help me? Do people ever get paid for internships? I'm contemplating talking to the owner of a florist shop and seeing what I can do. Any suggestions of what I should tell them?

  1. Most of the time what you actually do at a real job isn't what they teach you at school, internships prepare you just for that.
  2. It increases your "Market Value" as an employee when you're applying fo ra job because you already have experience.
