I am interested in using a resume software which I can save to microsoft word once after creating a resume. My existing one which I bought for $10.00 is not very user friendly. Any suggestions.

Don't bother with the software. When I left the military I looked for software as well. I tried several different ones that all calimed to be the best. In the end I bought a book specifically designed for writing resumes in my career field. (IT) This proved to be invaluable. I would suggest that you check out your local Barnes and Noble (or the like) and see what you can find.

Here are a couple links to the books I used:

http://www.amazon.com/Resume-Handbook-Outstanding-Resumes-Situation/dp/1580628540/sr=1-2/qid=1170876686/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/102-9754436-7408125?ie=UTF8&s=books

For Government positions I used this:

http://www.amazon.com/Federal-Resume-Guidebook-Promoted-Government/dp/1563709252/sr=1-6/qid=1170876791/ref=sr_1_6/102-9754436-7408125?ie=UTF8&s=books

Good luck
